Jean Rony Amazan

Mr. Amazan leads a multi-faceted entertainment group that is backed by a consortium of writers, producers, directors, advertisers and investment groups. His 30 years of experience and record of delivery has allowed Mr. Amazan to multi-task between Wall Street and private enterprise while developing his business, Amazan Entertainment Group, LLC (AEG) into an industry competitor. AEG was formed in 1987 to focus on concerts and tour promotions. From 1987 thru the 90’s, as a concert pioneer, he sold out venues with En Vogue, Heavy D, Kris Kross, Super Cat, The Cure and Brand Nubians, merging the mediums of rock, rap & reggae onto the same bill. On the corporate side he partnered with Budweiser and Labatts to sponsor “The Girl Hunt” tour which exhibited non-commercial rock bands Green House and rap group Brand Nubians. Mr. Amazan honed his tenacious business skills and instincts while working at top financial firms such as Deutsche Bank Asset Management Group, IFS, Morgan Stanley, UBS, and Prudential-Bache Securities with top executives on the trading floors and desks. These skills would come to serve him well in his business and entertainment endeavors. Mr. Amazan expanded AEG into the film and television genre developing projects from: script, production, financing, marketing and distribution. AEG has partnered and produced with One Ten East, Golden Ocean, and internationally with BBC, CCTV, and STAR TV. Although he is steadfast and unyielding in the development of his business, Mr. Amazan has never lost his sense of giving back and altruism. He was a mentor to Big Brother Big Sister of NYC and Pencil (Principal-for-a-day Mentor Program) for many years. He also dedicates time to fund raising efforts for multiple non-profit organizations including; Teach for America, Missoni Ovarian Cancer Society, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatrics AIDS Foundation and New York Cares. Mr. Amazan resides in Jersey City, NJ.
